As
a Company we are well aware of the difficulties that single people,
young couples and families in Devon and Cornwall have in getting
a foot on the housing ladder. Often their incomes are too low
to afford a mortgage on even the lowest priced home in their area.
As a not for profit company we are able to offer homes to local
people on a shared ownership basis where a purchaser can buy a
share of their home initially and then increase their share as
their circumstances allow.
However, unlike other shared ownership schemes, run by most Housing
Associations there is no rent to pay on the balance of the share
of the property. This could lead to a significant monthly saving
at a time when every penny counts. |
